From the Author
It’s hoped Awakening’s Treasure will serve as a reminder that awakening’s voice is speaking through each of us. Though our ego-mind constantly misinterprets this voice, moments of inner knowing can break through and allow some reflection of it.
My aim is to communicate through these pages that awakening is active and inherent in us all and carries its own significance. Then readers can intuit whatever rings true for each of them. Preferring to let this text speak for itself, I’m keeping my own profile to a minimum.Even so, I would like to add a few comments. My interest in spirituality began in the early 1960’s. I developed a habit of writing notes to myself to help crystallize new questions or insights, and this book is an outgrowth of that practice.
This material is based on intimations on my part rather than any state of spiritual accomplishment. As such, I’ve done my best to convey the various flashes of inspiration that have come into play. I’m very grateful for my wife’s support of this project, in particular for her very helpful assistance throughout the editing process.
I know whatever I have sensed about awakening’s movements in us is also being felt and expressed by an ever-increasing number of others in their unique ways. How could it be otherwise when all the drops feel the movement of the Ocean?
